Last week for our STEM unit on hand pollination we worked on creating movies about integrated pest management and agricultural engineers.  We filmed in front of a green screen and then added the apple pictures.  The kids had a lot of fun performing the plays.  I hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them.

Field Trip

Today we took a field trip to the Botantic Gardens in Grapevine to learn about pollination and to kick off our new engineering study.

Wow this was a busy week in 2nd grade.  We complete Ladybug books using a website called flipsnack.  By using this website we can upload their books to MackinVia.  If your child logs into MackinVia and you search ladybugs you will be able to view their books as soon as Mrs. Berumen gets them all uploaded.  We just finished today so give her a few days but we are so excited about everyone being able to see and use our hard work and research.

Parker

Parker the turtle came to visit us today. It was a real treat because after all of out turtle research we got to observe a real turtle.
