Rock Your Socks - 3/21 - World Down Syndrome Day

World Down Syndrome Day is on Tuesday, 3/21! 3.21 represents the third copy of the 21st chromosome which is what causes Down syndrome. Communities all over the world will be celebrating the acceptance and inclusion of people who have Down syndrome by Rocking
their Socks!

On March 21st in GCISD, we will "Rock Your Socks" by encouraging students & staff to wear different socks, brightly colored socks, long socks, printed socks, mismatched socks, or any kind of fun socks in honor of our friends who rock an extra chromosome!

Student Showcase

We have busy working on creating animal habitats that will meet the needs of the animals we researched.  Once we finish our habitats we are creating digital presentations for our parents to teach them about special characteristics our animals have that help them meet their needs in their habitats.  We can't wait to show our projects off at the Student Showcase Thursday night.
