PICTURE DAY IS TUESDAY - WEAR YOUR SMILE!!

Don't forget that Tuesday, February 28th is the date for class pictures and spring individual pictures for all Cannon students!

If you are interested in purchasing class pictures, these must be prepaid. Order forms for class pictures went home with all students last week. Payment for the class picture must be received from the students on or before February 28. The cost will be $15 for a basic class group picture, $20 for class group magnet, $18 class group wall cling, or $25 for a picture with padded black vinyl folder.

Every student will also have an individual picture taken on Tuesday and a proof will go home for parents to view approximately 2 weeks later. Parents may then send in money if you are interested in ordering individual pictures.

Don't forget to send your child to school with their BEST smile on Tuesday!

MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR CANNON CONSTRUCTION MEETINGS!

We are so excited to share information with all of our Cannon parents & community about construction plans for our new school! Please make plans to attend one of the construction meetings that are planned at Cannon in March! The information shared at the meetings on 3/21 & 3/29 will be the same information, so please plan to attend the meeting that best fits your schedule. PLANNING TO RETURN TO CANNON NEXT YEAR?

The GCISD Special Programs lottery is coming up soon! In order for us to determine how many spaces in each grade level at Cannon will be offered through the lottery, it is very important that we collect information from all of our families about your plans for next year. Please note that any student currently enrolled at Cannon through a previous year's lottery does NOT need to apply for the lottery again this year, as they will continue to be enrolled at Cannon through 5th grade. Plant Stem Engineering Challenge

We engineered model plant stems. The stems had to be able to deliver water to all of the leaves on the plant.

Perot Truck

The Perot Truck visited Cannontoday and the children got to experience many hands on engineering challenges.

Engineer visit

Today for Engineering Week we got a visit from Bryan Mendoza an engineer who works at Lockeed Martin.  He taught us about aerospace engineering.
