Measuring with Dash
We worked on units of measurement with Dash today. We realized it would take more lines of code to move the Dash forward 100cm if the units forward were smaller.

In 2013, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 5 (HB 5), which made significant changes to curriculum and graduation requirements, as well as, the assessment program and accountability system. In addition to the new graduation requirements, HB 5 also includes a requirement for school districts to conduct a community or parent engagement survey and report results to the Texas Education Agency (TEA). The information collected in this survey will help us highlight areas of excellence, as well as recognize areas of growth as we strive to Build Excellent Schools Together.
The survey link included in this message may be used multiple times in the instance that you have students on different campuses and will be active from April 7-28, 2017. Once you click on the link, you may select if you would like to complete the survey in English or Spanish.

House Hunters Challenge
We are completing a House Hunters Challenge. We have different family wishes and we are trying to find them a type of community and a landform that will meet their needs. Today we started our research so we can make the best recommodation to the family.

EARTH DAY CARDBOARD CHALLENGE INFORMATION
Beginning the second week in April, all Cannon students will be bringing informational flyers home about our Earth Day Cardboard Challenge! For all of our families that have been at Cannon for the last few years, you will recall that we annually participate in a global cardboard challenge event. It is truly one of the FAVORITE events of the year for many of our Cubs! This year, we have made some changes to this event by connecting the cardboard challenge to Earth Day!! We can't wait to see the earth-friendly ideas our Cubs design!!

Glider Design Challenge
ODesign Challenge: The Wright Brothers are creating a new glider with limited resources and a limited budget. Create a glider that must glide, land smoothly, and may only use the materials provided.
