Tornado Shelter Design Challenge

Our class finished our tornado shelters today!  Using a hair dyer to simulate varying wind speeds and  counting chips as hail and debris, we are happy to report that while all the shelters slid, most of our shelters withstood the strong wind speeds and didn't break apart.

Please ask your child about his/her team's tornado shelter! :)

BOOK DRIVE

Cannon's KC Club (Kindness & Compassion Club) is sponsoring a book drive for GRACE's Christmas Cottage. They are looking for new or gently used book donations to benefit local families during this holiday season. Their Book Drive will run through December 16th, so please send in your donations today! There are collection boxes in each grade level hallway. Thanks for your help!

Santa Shop

Each year, our Cannon PTA sponsors a Santa Shop at Cannon, where students can shop for gifts for family members. These gifts range anywhere from 50 cents to $20 and include gifts for adults & children. This year's Santa Shop will be open December 12th-14th and there will be scheduled times for students in each grade level to visit.

Cannon PTA is seeking volunteers to help with this year's Santa Shop:

  • Santa Shop Help Needed It's almost time for our annual Santa Shop! Students shop for family members for that special holiday surprise! Volunteers need to help set up and take down, help scholars shop, package and wrap gifts, and collect money! Click here to volunteer to help at Santa Shop!
