EARTH DAY GLOBAL CARDBOARD CHALLENGE 2017

PThe Earth Day Cardboard Challenge is unique in that it’s a celebration of ecological values, like sustainability and recycling, and is an opportunity to learn about environmental challenges. Our Cubs were encouraged to use cardboard, recycled materials and imagination to build creative artifacts that address environmental challenges!

Thank you, parents for helping our scholars make this experience the best yet!

Earth Day Cardboard Challenge
is this week!! We can't wait to see the creative projects our Cannon Cubs bring to school for this project! We will transform our Cannon hallways into a "Cardboard Museum" on Friday, 4/21, so that all students can take a gallery walk to see other student projects! As a reminder, ALL students that participate will receive a STEM spirit stick and we will be selecting the TOP cardboard projects with an Earth Day focus to receive special recognition & to be part of an exhibit at this year's Young Engineer's Night & EXPO!

Ozobot Measurement Challenge

They were given a measurement challenge that had very specific measurement criteria.  They had to code the Ozobot to travel different distances to be successful in the challenge.

Hot Wheels Measurement Challenge

We engineered hot wheels ramps to try and make the cars go the longest distances after they left the tracks.  We looked at ramp angles and drag.
