We learned about how to use a legend and the compass rose to navigate a map today.  Then we created symbols and coded the Cubetto to travel to different symbols
on our map.

Historical Figures and Inventors

We have had such a great week learning about inventors and other historical figures who have influenced and changed our lives.  We learned about many interesting people, but spent more time learning about Henry Ford and how the Model T changed the lives of people.  We built and coded cars of the future using Lego WeDo and built our own car that was powered by the Sphero.  Teams competed in a bracket-style tournament - we hope you enjoy the short video of the final race!

Wednesday, March 20, 2019

Car of the Future

Today we engineered models of possible cars of the future that would not be powered by gas.  Our model cars were powered by the Sphero.

Reading Medals Mrs. Ganus' Class

Today we received our reading medals for reading all the 2x2 books and for all of us completing the GCISD Reading Challenge.

Historical Figures Project

Check out the historical figures videos we created in the green screen room to tell about inventors that have impacted our lives.  The videos are shared in google classroom.
