iStation:
Did you know that students can use Istation throughout the summer months to combat Summer Slide? Istation believes a break from school needn’t be a break from learning. These printable brochures for teachers and parents explain how to access Istation at home. Need a brochure in Spanish? You can get one here. Think a video might work better to help inspire summer reading? Our Istation characters Justin Time and Paige Turner put together a short video about using Istation Home during the summer. Please share this video with students and their families:

New iPads For All Kindergarten-3rd Grade Students!

The district is on a five-year device replacement plan, meaning that students in kindergarten through third-grade will be receiving a new iPad. Since we will be sending home some summer learning opportunities that can be completed on an iPad, we will be replacing your student's device prior to the end of this school year. Staff members from the technology services department will be on campus soon to trade the devices. All students need to return their iPads/laptops and chargers by Monday 5/22. Teachers began communicating this to students last week and many have already brought their device to school - thank you!

Please note that 4th graders will NOT receive a new iPad, but will be allowed to keep their current device (with parent permission) over the summer. 5th graders will turn in their laptops and will be issued a new device in middle school.

One of the things that parents and staff shared with the district through ThoughtExchange is the concern with screen time and the possible disruptions to the instructional environment. Over the last several months, our technology services department has been working on a new mobile device management system which helps ensure that instruction is not interrupted with device misuse. With this new system, students will not be able to transfer apps purchased from their current iPad to the new device. They will still have access to them on another device with their personal login; however, they will not have access to them on the new device. We hope this will reduce distractions in the classroom and help with parental concerns regarding screen time at home.

We are very excited to be able to provide your student with this new instructional device. If you have any questions, please contact our campus technologist or your student’s teacher.

Kindergarten - 4th grade parents need to provide permission for their child's device to be sent home over the summer. Please click here to let us know if you do or do not want your child to have their device sent home this summer!

Field Day is this Friday!!!!
2nd Grade will be wearing Royal Blue
Please have them bring a water bottle that is labeled with their name.
They will also need a sack lunch for the day.
